We are so happy!

Handsome Humphrey is now safely in our care. Yesterday we realised just how lonely he has been when he started running to follow us across a very busy road after we fed him. We went back and sat with him for awhile and sneaked away when he wasn't looking.

We returned today and caught him without any stress. We took Humphrey straight to a vet to get an accurate weight and have given him his first worm and legmite treatments. HIs poor legs are very encrusted and are inflamed where they meet his tummy.

This gentle boy will stay with us for four weeks while we get on top of the parasites.

Spring has sprung!

Spring means our recovered hedgehogs are out of hibernation and ready to be released.

We're looking for hedgehog-friendly properties for them. They need fresh water (but not steep-sided ponds they can drown in), somewhere cozy to hide, and to be safe from dogs and traffic. It's also crucial that rat, slug and snail bait is not ultised on these properties.

Do you have a safe haven for the abandoned rooster we have named Handsome Humphrey?

We have been gaining his trust for some time and we are soon hoping to rescue him from the risk of traffic injury and dog attacks.

He now comes running to our call and makes wonderful chortling sounds of gratitude as he picks through our food offerings.

Humphrey will be treated for worms, lice and mites before his adoption to a slaughter-free, rural property which is safe from wandering dogs, poachers and other predators.

Chocolate and Jasmine need a home - together or separately. They are sweet-natured, friendly, human-orientated felines, who are both 9-years-old and de-sexed.

Choc and Jazz have been living in the countryside with their loving caregiver since they were kittens but due to ill health and a change of circumstances, he has to move out of his home and is unable to take his lovely cats with him. The poor man is desperate to find a safe haven for them.

Chocolate is a fluffy La Perm breed, whose “perm” didn’t take. This handsome boy loves nothing more than to be cuddled and brushed, and needs a home with plenty of affection. He is very laid back so, once he's settled, a busy environment wouldn’t faze him.

Beautiful Jasmine is an Abyssinian X Siamese girl. She is also extremely affectionate and loving, although she prefers the cuddles to be on her own terms. She is the more independent of the two and may be suited to a quieter home.
