KIND RURAL HOME NEEDED FOR A SWEET ROOSTER

??? URGENT: PLEASE SHARE ???

A few months ago, we posted an advert for a gorgeous rooster named Donald, who currently lives on an urban Auckland property.

Following a recent complaint, council has just visited and told his "Mum" that Donald must go rural... or pest control will remove him. We would never allow that to happen, but we do need a lovely haven for him before we humanely capture him.

Please read Donald's original advert at the link below and speak with your rural friends about offering him loving sanctuary for his natural lifespan. tinyurl.com/y6xk9mdm

We look forward to your offers at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Thank you so much!

MADDY, JENNICA and SELENE'S PROJECT

PLEASE HELP MADDY, JENNICA and SELENE'S PROJECT

As part of their Service Project for Kristin School, amazing volunteers Maddy, Jennica and Selene are raising funds for our outstanding vet bills at Browns Bay Sunday Market today.

They are selling cookies and muffins they baked all day yesterday and have been at the market from 6am this morning.

Congratulations on your very professional stand and kind hearts ladies. We are very, very grateful for your assistance.

To help with the success of their vet bill fundraiser, please make a donation referenced "bake sale". Huge thanks everyone!

Little Peachy on a recent scorching hot Summer's day

On a recent scorching hot Summer's day, little Peachy was huddled on a beachfront with ragged tail feathers and no parent anywhere in sight. He offered no resistance when scooped into my hands.

This Barbary Dove is thriving at the shelter having indoor and outdoor time. He enjoys being syringe fed Neocare baby bird feed and is beginning to pick up the odd seed himself.

Once he's eating independently and flying confidently, he will be ready for release. How we love a happy ending...

COME TO WHANGAREI THIS SATURDAY

LOOKING TO HELP ANIMALS IN 2021?
.... COME TO WHANGAREI THIS SATURDAY & PLEASE SHARE ....

WHANGAREI protest

Dress in black and join the well organised, peaceful protest outside the Whangarei rodeo from 12pm-1pm this coming Saturday 09/01/21.

Bring a sunhat, your family and friends to remind cowboys, spectators, motorists, council, the public and the media - that rodeo is animal abuse dressed up as “family entertainment”. Signs provided.

32 Kokopu Block Road
Maungatapere
Whangarei

Need convincing that rodeo is cruel? This footage was taken before high definition cameras were banned at most rodeos: https://tinyurl.com/hnz594b

COME TO THE RODEO PROTEST ON NEW YEARS DAY 2021

ROLL UP! ROLL UP! FOR THE CRUELEST SHOW ON EARTH...

Warkworth Rodeo Protest
New Years Day 2021: 11am - 12pm
Warkworth Showgrounds
State Highway 1, Warkworth
(Entrance opposite Hudson Road)

Calling all animal lovers to start 2021 by joining the crowd peacefully protesting against animal abuse. Bring nothing but friends. Wear black clothing. See you there!

The footage in this video was taken during the 2014/15 rodeo season. It's not surprising that high definition cameras are no longer permitted at most rodeo in NZ. The Rodeo Association does not want the public to know how animals suffer for this disgraceful "family entertainment". Don't buy tickets, don't offer sponsorship. Come to the protest so the violence, the bullying, the injuries, the deaths and the terror are stopped! Thank you.

*** Prefer to carpool? We have a convoy leaving from Browns Bay at 10am. If you would like to be part of it, please send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
