SEEKING EXPERIENCED DOG WALKERS

PLEASE SHARE. SEEKING EXPERIENCED DOG WALKERS / FOSTERERS. NORTH SHORE, AUCKLAND.

We have a number of traumatized dogs in our care who need experienced dog walkers or fosterers to help them with their learning as they undergo intensive training with Good Dog Training.

If you are physically strong and able to commit to a minimum of one walk each week, or you are able to offer a securely fenced foster home, we would love to hear from you please. ? We look forward to welcoming you to the team!

You will need to have your own vehicle and be prepared to reinforce the training techniques we are following.

NOTE: Today, four-year-old Lewis was out for his third training session with one of our awesome walkers, Lisa, and his lovely trainer, Jarmon.

Mixed bag of animal supplies

It was amazing to collect this mixed bag of animal supplies. Thank you so very much Paw Justice and Pet.co.nz ?

Having catered for the chickens under our own umbrella, we were able to share the surplus food with The Roost rooster sanctary in Puhoi, and with the Animal Sanctuary in Matakana.

A win for the animals and a wonderful relief for our charities. Please never stop supporting animal rescue organizations. Your work is as vital as ours. ?

Anonymous Donor Pays off our Outstanding Vet Bills

?? OUR VET BILLS ARE ALL PAID UP ??

What a lovely way for our charity to start the New Year!

Our outstanding vet bills immediately dropped from $7,465.15 to zero, when one of our longstanding supporters paid them off in full. This is only the second time in 23 years that our balance has been out of the red. (Thank you so much to our patient veterinarians).

We are so relieved and grateful, and in awe of this loyal donor, who has asked to remain anonymous. If you are reading this, please know that we and the animals we work with, love and appreciate you. ? ********

We already have a dozen animals lined up for vet visits and five traumatized dogs who are about to undergo intense professional pre-adoption training. If anyone is able to help us with these significant upcoming costs, please donate to:

MEDIA IGNORES RACEHORSE DEATH

"Show Us Plenty" was the thirteenth racehorse to die on the tracks in Aotearoa this year. He was only four-years-old and was euthanised at Ashburton Racecourse earlier this month after breaking his humerus during a race. His death was not reported by mainstream media, nor was he mentioned on NZ Thoroughbred Racing's social media.

According to the Coalition for the Protection of Racehorses and other advocacy groups, horse deaths in the racing industry are grossly under-reported. These victims deaths must not be overlooked; we want each victim to be remembered and recognized for the individual that they were. Show Us Plenty was not a commodity, or a piece of sports equipment. He suffered tremendous pain before he was killed. He deserved better. His stable name was Red.

Please boycott horse racing as well as all other forms of animal exploitation, and join us to spread awareness about this abusive industry.
