A farmer and his wife in Ruawai adopted a colony of over 20 roosters from me.
They live in groups at various locations around their 1000 acre property. They add such colourful beauty to the farm.

Irresponsible people illegally dumped these three young cockerels in a public park. They were so ravenous that rescuing them was not difficult. All of them had empty crops and the little cream one was so weak that he couldn't stay on the perch. It is beyond me how anyone can abandon an animal, let alone these birds who still have the tiny cheeps of baby chicks.
They are now in great condition and are ready for their adoption, either together or separately. Please contact me if you are able to offer them a home where they will be appreciated simply for their beauty, their companionship and their charm. Because they are small breed birds, they will be at risk of hawks. Please keep that in mind when applying.
